Welcome to The Linesider

The Linesider is a quarterly 64-page full colour magazine celebrating New Zealand’s railways.  The magazine has been in print since September 2020, and features high-quality photography, articles, news and opinion pieces.

From September 2025, The Linesider magazine will be published by the New Zealand Railway and Locomotive Society.

 Anyone, whether a NZR&LS member or not, can subscribe to The Linesider for $80 annually (4 issues), or about 10% off the cover price.  NZR&LS members receive an additional discount.

Existing NZR& LS Members please use the usual membership renewal form under the Members section and chose the combined package option under the drop down menu for subscriptions.
